They really screwed up giving him the interm label. With his popularity it would have been tough to replace him/not give him a shot but it isn't like he is an unknown quantity or there was some reason to think that he somehow became a much better coach.

I think second/third/fourth tier schools can hire/keep guys for sentimental reasons like that but LSU should not be hiring a bad coach because he is a likable guy.

But at the same time with coach O as head coach or not Dave Aranada and LSU defense should not be giving up 35+ to Mississippi State.

Mississippi State is going to do that to every team they play but Alabama. LSU got whipped in the trenches. Tiger fans are blaming Miles for the lack of depth but guess who was the d-line/recruiting coordinator the last two years? LSU finally played a real opponent and they looked like O's Ole Miss squads. Zero discipline/missing assignments etc

If he's smart he won't the way he's playing right now. Needs way more time. Don't really know who would draft him either. A lot of teams have qbs they want to try out or already have one

He'd still be a 1st rounder. He's a talented guy. He's a bit too aggressive and needs to learn to take the easy yards. If you see a corner playing off on 2nd and 13, taje the 8 yard hitch. If you consistently hit on the intermediate, the big plays will be there.

But who would take him? Pitt maybe?

Got a feeling Shaw has to be on the hot seat. Mediocore performances since last season. At least close to it

I remember a game early last year where he was way too conservative in play calling. He pretty much got out coached. I didn't see the game tonight but you can't lose a game to San Diego St and still expect a successful season. It must of been a disappointing game.

Its the same story. Too conservative. Relying completely on Bryce Love to manufacture big plays. Zero passing threat.
