Quite a few players would throw it on net there, with a goalie pulled, desperate to tie. NHLers, at least. Perhaps not at all levels.

I just watched the replay, what was Toews even trying to do there? Nobody was in front and in that situation you are not yet into a mode where its just throw it on net with 40 seconds left, not a clue what he was trying to do.

Pretty sure he wanted to bank it off of Andersen and score the tying goal.

Yeah, he's been all right. But it is fair to point out when a goalie let's in a goal like that in game 5. That's not small mistake. That's a huge mistake and can end up being the difference maker in the series. Huge goal.
