Whenever Czechs start to accelerate, they shoot themselves in their own leg. It's a bit frustrating, because if they would play hard, but more disciplined they could win this game. Sweden isn't at their best.

An absolut clinic from shorthanded Sweden. Very well done.

Czechs look like a disorganized shit show and probably out way too much value into EHT results. Our NHLers look ineffective after two games. Gotta get them going.

wait, Sweden has 9F in this game ?
Yes and 6 D-men. They basically roll 3 complete lines all game. The players seem to like it, they all get alot of ice time. ;) They did the same against Austria. They're praying for NHL reinforcements but basically of them dislike that asshat Garpenlöv and don't want to play for him.

Just tuned in and immediately was hit with a Jay Feaster "We believe Roman Cervenka is the best player not in the NHL" flashback.
In fairness... He has 6 points in 2 games. He's doing great for us... But that best player not in NHL is usually a kiss of death lol

Needless penalties (puck over the glass, wrong shift, stupid slashing when the puck was nowhere around) plus the overall horrible 2nd period by the Czech team were the deciding points today. The 3rd period was looking OK but it was too late. Vrána was probably our worst forward, literally zero offensive impact. Hertl was a little bit better but nowhere near to meet the expectations. The sad thing is that our best player was Roman Červenka (37 y.o.) again. At least Blümel was looking good, definitely one of our better players.

My personal impression: The players were looking too much strategy-bound in the 1st and the majority of 2nd, which at the end resulted into a total collapse of any strategy as they were feeling they are losing ground and began to panic. Strategy is a good thing but still must be supplemented with intensity and the right dose of aggression.
