Tried getting into them due to the hype but I just dont like her vocals.

I honestly only like that one song from them. It kept coming up in a Spotify mix and grew on me. Even the other two from that tiny desk concert don't really do it for me.

This song's some of their best work in a long time.

Love the note at the end too. I've seen them twice and they're up there with some of the best shows I've ever been to.

Hugh Cornwell of The Stranglers did not get a PhD... but has a degree in Biochemistry and did post graduate research at Lund University (Swedish equivalent of Oxford/Cambridge), but left halfway through his PhD.



Also one of the best autobiographies I have ever read.

He notes in it that when he was in court after being arrested in possession of a large amount of different narcotics he held his head in his hands when his lawyer mentioned his "excellent academic background and degree and research in biochemistry..." as he was like "great, now they think I am making the stuff."

For any Fleet Foxes fans out there, this "From the Basement" set from 2008 was just released in full on Youtube yesterday. These guys are pretty amazing musicians and it shows in this live set.

Also, the lead singer looks like he just got done a marathon bear fight.
