XFL isn't messing around this time.

And I don't remember reading that Jerry Jones is officially involved but Stoops being the HC of the Dallas franchise would suggest Jones is.

The XM Fantasy guys were ALL over Gurley missing a shift late in a game around week 12 or whatever it was. He was never the same after that.

I think injury opened the door for CJ Anderson, and he did well enough to eat into his shares when he was cleared.

That was a mistake if Gurley was 100%. However, the fact McVay was even talking about injuries says all we need to know. A guy can be 100% in our minds yet need a scope during the offseason.

That all said McVay got punked out by Belly. Lost in all this, was that the Rams D played damn well.

Gurley looked great against the Crackboys. So unless he reinjured himself —

Good point. Look at the inconsistencies we see in hockey players WRT injuries. Heck Ovi went most of a season with seemingly having lost how to shoot on "his move". You'd think they are drunk, but then they look normal for a game or 2. NHLers push through injuries and we even don't know they were injured, we are left to guess. or ASSume.

All the early big money went for the Pats, if it gets out now that Gurley had an undisclosed injury to such a degree where professional gamblers shifted the line 4+ in 48 hours you’d have to take a pick away from the Rams.

Who cares if they told the media about a injury

The NFL is asking for a percentage (“integrity fee”) of sports gambling plus putting a team in Vegas and Gurley is still hurt after like 4 touches over 4 weeks and isn’t on the injury report but the whales know about it, it could easily get traction if they identify the injury.

Bold offseason predictions for all 32 NFL teams

The Redskins lose linebacker Preston Smith and wide receiver Jamison Crowder to free agency.
The Redskins have expressed a desire to retain both players. But there has been little movement toward re-signing either. Because of the importance of pass-rushers, Smith will have a strong market considering he's only 26 years old, has good length and has shown he can be a durable all-around player. His price tag could reach around $14 million per year, which would be a lot for someone with 24.5 career sacks -- and for a team with approximately $20 million in cap space right now. They'd love to keep Crowder and he would be cheaper to retain than Smith. But he could fetch at least $8 million per year on the open market, and that will be tough for the Redskins to match. -- John Keim
