Team accomplishments have no place in a discussion comparing individual players

The only thing that's relevant is how the player performed
OK lets see then.
Season MVP , Jordan 5 Lebron 4
Finals MVP , Jordan 6, Lebron 3
All NBA 1st , Jordan 10, Lebron 12
All Defensive 1st, Jordan 9, Lebron 6
Defensive POY, Jordan 1, Lebron 0
Scoring Leader, Jordan 10, Lebron 1
Steals leader , Jordan 3, Lebron 0

If this doesn't prove it to you nothing will it's really not close at all. Lebron is a great player but Jordan is Jordan. Also remember he sat out 2 years of his prime.

Kobe was overrated when he was alive, now he'll be even more overrated.

Overrated? Lol he was always underrated for how great he was.

Kobe Offensively: He was one of the most versatile scorers in NBA history. Arguably the best isolation scorer of all-time next to Jordan. He could score in so many different ways with a complete arsenal of scoring moves and was nearly impossible to stop in his prime.

Kobe Defensively: At his peak he was one of the best defensive guards in the NBA. His relentlessness and focus was unmatched and he would literally shut down who he was guarding.

The X factor was his tenacity, sheer determination, and will to win. No load management, no nights off; Kill or be killed was the mamba mentality, that mindset is what propelled him to greatness.

Multiple scoring tittles, 81 point game, 5/7 in the finals, 5 Championships. Kobe is underrated while LeBron is overrated.

You can argue all you want Jordan is way ahead of Lebron. Lebron =Kobe sure Kobe better scorer Lebron better all around player. Jordan played in era where players were mobbed with no foul and made plays with players hanging off him. Lebron is nowhere near Jordan for me. Lebron had a cake walk to finals playing in east and made it sure 9 times also lost it 6 times?? Lebron when up against a good western teams failed and the 2 wins with Heat he didn't do it alone. The one with Cleveland yes he was the man for sure but Jordan would have had 8 straight championships if didn't retire for the 2 seasons. Jordan also played against much better teams but that's subjective.

How did Jordan play against much better teams? It doesn't get better than the Golden State Warriors of the last few years.

Kobe, like Jordan, were 2 of the most exciting must watch players in the history of the game. LeBron is not an exciting player. He is a great point guard. He is the better version of Magic. What Jordan did in 12 1/2 seasons LeBron hasn't been able to do in 17 +seasons. Lebron could play another 5 seasons and win 5 more championships and he still wouldn't be better than Jordan. Jordan was 34 when he retired the second time. If he would have joined the Spurs, Lakers, Rockets after Chicago he could have won 3 more easily. Lebron will hang on as long as he can to be great. Jordan didn't need too.

Warriors and plenty other good teams in West yes but how how about the east? LeBron has had a red carpet laid out to finals when he was in East. Jordan had to get through Isiah Thomas and the Pistons, Bird and the Celtics just to get to finals to play against Lakers , Sonics, Jazz, Suns all top teams years they went to finals with players like Malone, Magic, Kemp and Barkley. The league was better then for me and today is a joke with the hand check rule ruining it.

Not to mention New York and Miami were really tough teams.

LeBron owned the East even when he was playing on bad teams. The 07 and 18 Cavs had no business being in the Finals. LeBron single-handedly took them there including beating a stacked Pistons team in 07 and running through the top seeded Raptors in 2018. He also beat the Celtics in 2018 without Kevin Love.

For me the only real blemish in LeBron's career is losing to the Mavs in his first year with the Heat.

Jordan & Kobe didn’t need to join super teams to win Championships. Jordan shouldn’t be in this conversation as he was a far superior Player. LeBron is a runner, Kobe was a winner.

Yeah Jordan and Kobe didn't join a super team but they did play on one. Why is it LeBron's fault that he was drafted by the crappy Cavs with an even crappier management?

LeBron hand picked everything. The Cavs were so worried he would leave they let him do anything.

The Bulls roster for their first 3 chips was completely different than their last 3 with the exception of Pippen.

Pippen had more talent in his pinky finger than any of LeBron's teammate for his first 7 years as a Cavalier.
In his second stint with the Cavs he had Kyrie and Love and only managed to win 1 title. Kyrie didn't even want to play with him and left.

The reason for Lebron not being more successful in his career is because he is a ball hog. What I mean by it is because he has the ball in his hand so much he makes everyone else jump shooters. He doesn't let players play to their advantages. So unless he has a team full of shooters he disrupts the flow of the game. Probably why Irving wanted out. Lebron makes having a point guard/shooting guard obsolete.

The first year against the Warriors both Love and Irving were out with injuries. The second year they beat the best record team in the history in one of the best NBA finals ever if not the best. The following 2 years they played against arguably the best team ever assembled.

kyrie left a perfect situation in boston after saying he would re-sign there. its been on record that kyrie's attitude has been terrible everywhere he's been. kyrie publicly took a shit on his teammates in brooklyn after missing like 20 games and shooting 8/20 his first game back.. kyrie irving is a locker-room cancer so this means absolutely nothing.

The reason for Lebron not being more successful in his career is because he is a ball hog. .
kobe and mj both had higher career usage rates, what the **** are you even talking about

In his second stint with the Cavs he had Kyrie and Love and only managed to win 1 title.
kyrie played 1 game in 2015, love 0. and lebron carried them so hard he got 4/11 votes for finals mvp. 2016 we know what happened. the years after that a 73 win team added the 2nd best player in the world. literally everybody expected the warriors to 3peat barring injuries, and that's what happened. i dont know how you hold that against him.. :help:

It could be argued LeBron has surpassed Jordan as the best player ever

Nobody is making that argument for Kobe
these casuals will tell you otherwise

Calling Lebron a ballhog in a Kobe vs. Lebron thread is the definition of ironic.

Lebron was clearly the superior player to Kobe. The only real argument for Kobe is championships, I mean imagine prime Shaq dominating with Lebron on those early Cavs teams. Lebron had to carry a shit franchise for 7 years with not a single star to ever play with.

Nope, Lebron is the GOAT. Him and Jordan are at the top. People look at all time points, but look at all the assists Lebron also has. It's insane.

Kobe is in that second tier. Kobe's mentality and compete is the greatest of all time though imo.

RIP Mamba.
