Waiving Friedman is both bad asset management and something that doesn't bother me all that much as a single move. It is just repeating a pattern of questionable front office decision making, though.
If he gets claimed, great for him, because he's not getting a serious look here. When your coach plays you in a position you haven't played since you were 9 years old, it's not a good sign for your long term prospects in the organization.
Would be interesting to see if Hexy claims him. Otherwise I'd expect him to clear.

Burke has a very good sense of humor. The last few years being able to see him a bunch on Hockey Central and Tim & Sid, that side of him showed a lot more than when as a GM/Pres.
