What a massive pile of crap. Hemsky was on a playoff team that made it to game 7 of the stanley cup finals. He has probably been the best defensive player on the second line this season.

Not worth arguing with "I seen him real good" types. Hemsky's consistently been one of, if not THE best Oiler over the past 7-8 years in terms of chances for vs. against while he's on the ice. And it's not because Edmonton's been a super-offensive juggernaut that never let the other team into their own zone. It's because Hemsky has a very solid two-way game.

This looks exactly like a team that has played 3 times in the past 65 hours. Don't see why people are surprised by this effort at all. We'll live to fight another day people, everybody needs to step back from the ledge, lol

Best defensive player on the second line that includes a rookie in Yakupov? How long Hemsky been in the league? He better not be the worst defensively on that line.

Gagner wasn't very good defensively, but he gives an effort to fight for pucks on the defensive end.

Hemsky certainly was better and care more back in 2006 but that was 6+ years ago. He hasn't been any good in terms of defensive effort in the last few years.

And we had Pronger. Who led us in scoring. Not Hemsky. BTW Hemsky was 4th in scoring in that playoff run, and second worst in plus/minus on the team at -3. Pronger was +10.

Oilers getting outclassed right now. Outshot 12-2 in the third right now when you are down a goal.

Type of performance we have seen all too often in the past few years.

I thought we had turned it around but this is what we ahave seen for the last few years. No fight what so ever.

this game first comes down to capitalizing on their early chances, could have been 3-0 early

secondly, sometimes this team is going to have to grind, and that means everyone, and they aren't doing it

We need a greasy bottom-6 garbage goal. Is Petrell the only one not in the top-6 to score?!
