Nhl 19 hates me lately on my be a pro I had a season ending mcl sprain in my draft year and post concussion syndrome in my first nhl season for 3 months each

PC needs a good hockey game. I really miss playing league games of hockey but EA's stranglehold on the market combined with the exclusivity to consoles has meant that I haven't played the last 4 iterations of the series.

Any indie devs in here?

Is it just me or does the AI take waaaay too many penalties in NHL 19? I literally put the slider to zero and both teams still get too many penalties, and I'm rarely even involved. Drives me nuts sometimes.

Apart from that I'm enjoying NHL 19!

Nice! Been waiting on the next ryzen line for my new build. The wait has been long :(. My trooper of a 2600k build deserves retirement at this point.
In the same boat. I have a 6700k which is great but my mobo is self destructing. I'm also just sick of Intel's greedy practices.

Yeah they are great. I wouldn't even bother with Intel right now. 2600 is the sweet spot right now imo. My next build ,which may be sooner rather than later seeing as my mobo only has one working ram slot, will absolutely be AMD
I build a new box about every 4 years after doing research, which is 1/2 of the fun. It is almost time so I am starting that research again. Love it! Word on the street is that AMD has some processors that are extremely competitive. What’s the thread ripped series about? I see that there 2 generations.

If you are gaming don't look at thread ripper. It's competing against Intel's I9

It’s part of their new game mode, “Be a Penalty Killer”

When I was younger, I went through rapid refresh cycles all the time, like every 2 years. I used to be a FPS player, mostly Call of Duty, so I always needed a fast rig. Eventually I stopped and my main PC is a first gen i7 Extreme Edition 3.2ghz. I got 12GB of ram and still rocking USB 2.0. The only upgrade I did in the past 3 years was upgrade to a Radeon 280x, which I know is old now.

I don’t play PC games anymore except for Starcraft 2, and this old ass rig still runs it really well.

If you like to immerse yourself in an RPG (not a dungeon crawler with stats) and have a decent spec PC, you shouldn't miss out on Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

No magic, no dragons, no dodgy Nordic accents, lots of real world language, manure piles, dirt, hardcore combat mechanics and a beautiful, immersive feudal European world.

It's almost a zen like experience, now that they've patched out many of the bugs :)

Any reason why the reviews arent too hot ? I've lived in the Czech Republic before so that part of the game (Bohemia) definitely sparks my interest.

Thought this would be the right place to ask this.

Say I want a gaming desktop with a GTX 1080, where's the cheapest way to get it in this province. The prices are ridiculous compared to consoles.

I would recommend going over to r/bapcsalescanada. And yes 1080s are expensive as hell especially considering how long they've been out. The RTX 20xx are underwhelming and crazy expensive.

Not too much in terms of video cards right now

The game was an absolute buggy mess on launch. Supposedly they've fixed a bunch of things since, though.

This sounded so much like me but you'd have to swap call of duty with team fortress classic or quake. Feelsoldman. :(

ca.pcpartpicker.com is where you want to start. Looks at all the online retailers and shows you the lowest prices. GTX 1080 is probably not the best choice right now since RTX cards have come out and the 1080 prices are increasing as supply runs out.

Well, it was a buggy mess for months after initial release so that would have been a factor. You are also not The Dragonborn - you are decidedly squishy and combat (especially against more than one opponent) is dangerous.

Crime also appears to be a high risk endeavour, although there is a good mod that eliminates the awful lockpicking mini game without actually cheating.

It's not a high octane thrill a minute game. However, I feel that it immerses you into the role of the protagonist and the world he inhabits. There's time to plan, think, explore, hunt and generally live in the world....if you force yourself to step away from the main questline.

I did buy my copy in a Steam sale for £20 and it's money well spent at that price for sure.

Looking to purchase/build a gaming PC (mostly for csgo). I would also require a headset with mic and keyboard, as I already bought a 144hz monitor (BenQ) and my bro got me a good mouse with large mousepad.

~$2500 would be my ideal spending amount. Go at it for those interested. It'll be my first gaming rig, so I'd appreciate any help.

Sometimes I wish I went with a PS4. I went with an XBO as I was initially interested in EA Access but have since let that subscription expire. I’m missing games such as Spider-Man and God of War.

On that note, Resident Evil 2 comes out I think on Friday. Thinking of picking it up, though I haven’t played since the PS2 days.

Lol you don't need a 2500$ rig to run CSGO at 144hz. My 3 year old 1000$ build will do it no problem. If that's what you want to spend though I can put together a couple builds.

you only need a good CPU for CS GO, no need for a 800$+ GPU.
And even then, only vital part is a 144hz monitor like you already have! try to at least 12"x 12" mousepad and a mouse with DPI( set it between 400-600, CS GO needs low dpi because it's extremly nervous and reactive).
