Olofsson with only one assist this period? Bust.

In all honesty, this kid is on a tear. He looked competent in preseason and has continued it into his AHL debut. It would be pretty awesome if we finally hit late round pay dirt.

Made it look easy. I loved watching him play tonight. He was on a line with Asplund and O'Regan which accounted for half of our goals. He played hard and fast just like you want to see, I truly believe this kid is more well-rounded than just the "powerplay specialist" we expected out of him.

He deserves a shot (hue hue hue). But I think they'll be reluctant to change the team which won over the weekend. He draws in after someone shits the bed in a loss IMO.

Come to Buffalo! What a great way to say "hey, don't forget about me" to management.

If you asked me, I would say Smith and Nylander should both be ahead of him right now. Both consistently better in most aspects of the game.

Agreed. Smith should be number one. VO is putting up the points obviously but I can just see him disappearing in any role outside of the top line in Buffalo. He doesn’t consistently manufacture offense 5v5 yet.

I’m not watching Rochester at all, but 5 es points in 11 games seems pretty solid to me.

If VO is unrefined in the offensive zone, it's time to smoke unfiltered.
Refined doesn’t necessarily mean Smith is more dangerous offensively. There’s more to playing the game than finding open space and firing a shot on net. Again, not saying Olofsson is one dimensional. He’s actually a really impressive passer. But Smith excels pretty much at everything.
