$10m is too much for any D, unless the cap is at $80m+. I'm okay with him at $8 to 8.5, possibly as much as 9.

I find it totally insane to only play someone like Hedman 20-21 minutes per game.

When you have a monster like him on your team, you give him every minute he can handle - and that' s sure as heck more than he's getting in TB.

We had the same theory last year, until we got in the playoffs, and Carle was used in place of those minutes.

3.375 $. The guy fumbles with the puck, has no killer instinct defensively and look meaner than he is. Also, he can't shoot and his length keep him out of touch with reality. A seventh defenseman. I don't get why this is a big deal? It means we have a deep D core, when you have an Andre Sustr on your 2nd pair you want to get him just as many minutes as your top pair. There's not a team in the league that can roll out someone that good on their 2nd unit.
