Does anyone know when Hedman's prognosis will be announced? I'm sure we're all equally in the dark but I am indeed curious if anyone's heard anything

As long as he’s back and ready to go for the playoffs we should be ok. Obviously we would miss him but injuries happen in this game. Just tends to happen to our best players :shakehead

Based on the video of the injury and not being able to put any weight on it, suggests its some sort of ligament damage. If its the MCL (a time frame of 3 to 8 weeks is in play) however if its an ACL then he is out till next year. If the injury was minor, we would have heard something by now. Players often come up lame and by morning the next day, after the pain has subsided, they are back to walking normally and its fairly obvious that the injury is only a mild ligament strain. Unfortunately, the longer this goes on with no news, the more serious the nature of the injury is likely to be.

To me it looked like an MCL sprain we could be without him for 1-2 months.

You all really think they are going to give out details; MCL vs ACL vs sprain vs bruise, etc. etc.???
I'm doubting that, it's gonna be "lower body injury, undisclosed". And "we're still evaluating, we don't want to rush it."
Plus, absolutely no rush from them to put out any info. Why would they? It's not required, plus most of the team is probably already on a sandy beach somewhere by now for a few days of R&R.

To me, when I look at the video, it’s almost as if his knee gives out before the impact. Suggestive that this is a serious injury.

I’m hopeful that he’s only out three months or so.

They won't give out details, but the time he's expected to be out should be informative as to the nature of the injury.

Given the length of time I have a bad feeling he's been flown out to a specialist somewhere. The injury update might be us being told he had surgery to repair something etc.

"Should be"
As tight-lipped as Yzergod is about most inside happenings, I won't get my hopes up for an instant honest update. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
That's the only take away from this whole thing so far... Just have to wait and see. Don't sell the farm just yet.

Besides, 77 is a tough-as-nails Viking giant, we got that going for us at least.

I’m guessing we won’t hear much this next week. Shortly before the Vegas game we might get a “day to day” or “game time decision” remark.

Since the team is off they won’t give much out even if it is serious.

After looking at the angle of the quadrant paradoxicality my calculation is leaving me with suspicion it's a 1.6L tear which is a grade A-3 AC/DC-L sprain in the knee. My expected timetable return for him is probsbly estimated aepund, approximately, which is just a guess, is somewhere around 44.23 to 65.45 days. I am an Enternet Explorer certified RN doctor with an associates in knee ligamentology so you should feel comfortable with my diagnosis'es.
