Very quietly Ceci is actually playing very good for us.

It's more than just being the #6 it's playing with a rookie. He needs stability from his partner. And Sandin needs stability. That pair just doesn't mesh.

See I can accept that reasoning for a player like Rielly who’s offence and puck moving capabilities drastically outweigh his shortcomings defensively. Going out of the way to give him a stable partner makes sense. You give Ceci a stable partner what happens? At best his shortcomings are made up for and his impact on the game is negligible. At worse Ceci drags down said steady partner and the impact that player could have playing with someone capable is lost.

Ceci just isn’t worth playing. He does nothing well but worse than that he hurts the team.

If someone better was available they'd already be there. That's the problem.....

He has an expiring contract whereas the person he replaced has 5 years left.

That counts for something lol.

This guy is garbage. He'll have 1 good game for every 6-7 bad ones. Maybe 6-7 is being generous. Then we have have to see a couple of his fanboys come out of the woodworks to say he is underrated LOL.

Evidently not.

It does, however continuing to play him while he’s a detriment is a bad call. We only have so many years with the core players signed (Rielly and Andersen expiring soon) and so many years of guys being able to play at a high level before Father Time comes knocking (Tavares, Muzzin). It’s a disservice to the team to continue to play Ceci when he could cost this team a trip to the playoffs.

That last game against Florida was his worst game of the season...Marincin level bad. Who knows how many goals against while Ceci or Marincin have been on the ice Andersen has nullified.

Couldn't hurt trying Liljegren in there. Even Gravel.
