Alright team, here we go again, the Titans are taking on the Paris Eternal tonight and they're sitting at #1 in the PAC division with the best MD% in the league. Paris is sitting at #9, one spot outside of the stage 1 playoffs so they'll be hungry for a win. That being said, all 4 maps are maps that the Titans have performed very well on so we could see an exciting match.
- First off, the Eternal lineup is another team stacked with great players who are under performing. It's based on the star-studded team Rogue from the old Contenders format and the team translated to the powerful French national team, where the entirety of Rogue was based. SoOn, BenBest and NiCOgdh were all big players in the French national scene, they added the best DPS player from the Russian national team, ShaDowBurn as well as Kruise, an elite support from the UK national team.
- The opening map of the match will be Ilios, we saw Jjanu's overtime heroics here against the Charge in week 2, the Eternal have had a win here though against the London Spitfire, last year's grand finals champions.
- Numbani is a map that the Eternal have done well at but the Titans have yet to play on. Numbani, a hybrid map, would tend to favour the 3/3 meta that has a similar feel to King's Row, a map that the Titans have been dominant on this year, a shocking 100% winrate on hybrid maps.
- Last week, we saw the Titans crush the Valiant on H:LC, a map that the Eternal hasn't seen yet, but the Titans are so dominant here, these middle two maps will be key for their win today, a second map type that the Titans have a 100% winrate on.
- Finally, we see Rialto, the map that the Titans threw last week against the Valiant, they had some fun and didn't win but the match wasn't close. The Titans are 1/4 on escort maps this season.
- This could be a very tough matchup for Paris, but they need to start clawing out wins. After the Titans game, the Eternal have 3 more matches and 2 of them are against good teams, they'll need to beat some of them as they have a very good lineup which is capable of making some noise in the playoffs.
