I am not sweating that. Whats the damage? The one groin injury? Varly has had umpteen of those and is still a quality goalie. We have no reason to believe that Vanecek will have umpteen of them but he is not supposed to carry the load

Well that solves the backup goalie piece. I thought he was really good last year especially considering the circumstances and that he wasn't exactly playing behind a shutdown D. Most importantly VV comes cheap. Nice to have him back but ideally he only plays 30 games max next year and Samsonov becomes a workhorse.
