Oostende v Marseille has been highly entertaining even though it's still scoreless. OM with the better chances but Mandanda just made a brilliant save or it would have been 1-0.

Never thought this day would come but today Belgium football is better than Dutch both club and national team wise

PSV are toothless, they have like literally 70% possession but don't do crap with it...Denmark potentially a horror day today, losing all three clubs. Denmark was fighting for 15th place in the national league coefficients this season (15th place = 2 teams in the CL qualifying). Wouldn't be shocked to see Croatia grab that spot, incredible that about 10 years ago they were in like 26th and losing to teams from N. Ireland, Cyprus etc.. :amazed:

Gent is out, lost to unfancied Austrian side Altach, Mitrovic's red card hurt them as Altach scored twice after.

I didn't expect Hajduk to beat Brondby TBH

Yeah, terrible. They had two amazing campaigns in a row, but this is a disaster. They invested a lot but they lost their first league game on sunday against one of the worst teams in the league and now they're out of Europe.

We'll have only 3 teams left in Europa unless Oostende pulls off a miracle vs OM

Speaking of Denmark, Midtjylland escapes with an injury time winner.

edit: Oostende are out as well even though they played a great second half and if not for Mandanda they might just have pulled off the upset

Freiburg in some danger to go out to Domzale of all teams, they still can go through with an away goal. German clubs, especially the non-traditional European ones tend to struggle in qualifying, last year Hertha I think were knocked out at this stage too

PSV are out, two losses to Osijek, poor effort, the Dutch save face though with Utrecht making the playoff round getting a result in Poznan

Skenderbeu-Mlada going to penalty kicks...

If these 3 teams all make group stage it's still decent, however you can't expect to repeat an amazing 12.5 pts European performance

Skenderbeu advance to the playoff round beating Mlada Boleslav on penalty kicks...a total of three teams from Albania and Macedonia have made it this far :sarcasm:

ex-YU renaissance too if Domzale however manages to pull this off (4 Croatian, 2 Serbian, 2 Slovenian, 2 Macedonian teams all in playoffs)

Have a feeling Zenit and Krasnodar will get at least one of these teams

Still waiting for one more result, AIK lead Braga 1:0 at halftime and have a 2:1 aggregate lead. The game kicked off very late, typical of these Spain/Portugal late kickoffs

The game started at 9pm in Portugal.

Dinamo Zagreb and Partizan will be seeded. Dinamo and even Partizan will be ok with most of the unseeded teams.
Though Dinamo-Crvena Zvezda and Partizan-Hajduk would be some epic fan match-ups.

Honestly, I love how the media always hype these potential matchups, with index.hr being the guiltiest party but they should know by now that UEFA tries everything in their power to avoid putting Croatian-Serbian teams in the same groupings. The only way I see a matchup like that happening is in the CL playoffs or where UEFA can't manipulate the draw procedure, its a straight draw with teams being drawn.

Tomorrow's EL draw will see teams separated into 4-5 groups of 10-12 so they can easily just avoid putting CZ/Partizan in the same group as the Cro sides. While there is no official rule against sides from these two countries to play each other its clear as day for anybody who follows these draws the last 10 years that they are never in the same pairing. You would think it would happen once but nope :D

Braga-AIK going to ET, important match for seeding, if Braga lose then Panathinaikos moves up to the seeded spots

True, and I don't think Dinamo and Partizan would even want meet those teams in the playoff round. Plenty of other teams they would prefer to face.

50k in St Petersburg for the 3rd qualifying round of EL. And the whole reason for that is they lowered the prices for this game. Makes me wonder why they can't keep low prices all year long which will get 40-50k every game rather than 30k they are projected to get with current prices. Should be the same profit, but the atmosphere will be way better.

Seeding for tomorrow's playoff draw (tomorrow morning UEFA will separate these teams into groups of 4 or 5 to avoid same country clashes, its not an open draw like the CL where each club will be drawn individually, instead numbers will be drawn).

Special shout out to two clubs, Suduva (Lithuania) and Shkendija (Macedonia) who made it to this stage despite being unseeded all the way back in the 1st round, in fairness they got some decent draws but still a great achievement especially by clubs from countries which usually don't do well in Europe

Shkendija getting Milan is an incredible draw for them (prestige wise of course), too bad they have to play at neutral venue.

Its incredible how many times Dinamo Zagreb get these easy draws, true they are always seeded but you'd think for once they would get somebody other than the weakest team possible. Hajduk have little chance against Everton unless they rest players as I read they play both Man City and Chelsea that week. Osijek are extremely happy with their draw but they might get too cocky after eliminated PSV and overlooking Austria Wien

Videoton-Partizan is another tight tie in a draw which really didn't deliver too much of them

Utrecht beat Zenit 1:0 in the lone match today, a much needed result for Dutch clubs in Europe and will be interesting to see if they can hold on in Russia
