Congrats to USA, I think sweden played well consider I think this was a pretty weak swedish generation overall.

Brännström the best swedish player in this tournament.

He has no shot at the pro game, but I love watching lil' Dhoogie. I don't even think he's 5'3!

I've enjoyed the tournament and can't wait to see the US and Finland tomorrow.

I think the impressive US kids have been St. Cyr, Dhooge, Barratt, Wahlstrom, Hughes, and Norris.

The most impressive today, to me, was Quinn Hughes. His style of play, not his size, so reminds me of Zach Werenski. Yes, I'm a Michigan fan. The way they are both so smooth with the puck, not rushed, strong skaters; they just make things look slow and easy.

Good luck, USA!

So next year's groups should be:
A: USA, Sweden, Canada, Switzerland, Belarus
B: Finland, Russia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, France

Group B looks really weak... should be Russia's to lose.

Hmmm, that is something Finns would have said 20-25 years ago...

In recent years, lack of Russian talent in addition to the fact that Finns seem to store up all their emotional energy for Russia seems to explain why the Russians just can't get by their Finnish nemesis. Often times, an explosion of energy by Finland is followed up by a flat and lifeless performance in the championship match, as happened this year and in the World Championship GMG against Canada last May.
