Tv-pucken is underway!

First game day is over and the results were:

Uppland-Bohuslän/Dal 8-1
Gotland-Blekinge 0-6
Örebro län-Västmanland 3-2
Södermanland-Östergötland 0-1
Hälsingland-Jämtland/Härjedalen 0-2

No big surprises even though I thought Västmanland would beat Örebro and Östergötland would win more comfortably over Södermanland. I watched the Södermanland-Östergötland game and Östergötland played a bit sloppy, and Södermanland actually had a couple of chances to equalize at the end.

Today Västmanland put up a really strong game vs Västerbotten, Edwin Beccau with a splendid performance and a beautiful goal. They came back after 0-1 and won and kicked out Västerbotten out of the tournament.

Jonatan Berggren Uppland produced a lot, as always. 6 goal and 9 assists.

He looks really good. It would've been interesting to see his TOI, probably around 20 mins every game.

After watching these games, I think Östergötland should have brought one or maybe two more 01 forwards to this team instead of a couple of the 00 that are on there now. However Östergötland looked really dominant out there, they just couldn't score.

7+10, even. The numbers really stand out, even more so when you consider only two others (just barely) reached double digits. Granted a lot of it came against a weak Gotland team. Uppland got lucky in the end to move on, but will be interesting to see what he can do there.

Örebro and Västmanland are going to Ö-vik

What a surprice that both Örebro and Västmanland are going to Ö-vik from the qualifying group in Söderhamn.
I'm impressed of how the Västmanland team was playing against Västerbotten, especially their #13 Edvin Beccau. He was totally outstanding in that game, especially the second period.

I got a question here. Was Beccau sick or injured because i can't find him in some of the other games in Söderhamn? Just a few shifts on the games from Saturday.

What does this mean?

1. The team was put together by a person that is employed by AIK?.
2. There should not be an "inch" of suspecting any form of bias when the Stockholm hockeyfederation is behind this tournament.

3. In the broader perspective, What does the Swedish hockeyfederation looking for? What is the purpuse with this tournament?

No i havent got a son that missed the "cut".....

Suspended after crashing into a goalkeeper in a game vs Modo or ÖHF, I was told. Quite a loss for Västerbotten.
