Montréal has been a complete failure ever since the Lafleur years. Sadly for you, Pittsburgh is the team that has won the most cups since 1990. Hard pill to swallow, but here it is.

Youre the typical O6 team fan who is stuck in the past because they were winning cups in a 6-team league. Even if Pittsburgh will suck in a couple of years, Montreal ain’t being a cup contender anytime soon.
LOL I think they still won two more Cups after Lafleur. Wow, only five Cups, I'm really impressed.

Montreal's time will eventually come one day, but enjoy yours while it lasts. Pittsburgh will never surpass Montreal period.

And funny that you mentioned "since 1990" to make an emphasis on your point because if you want to go this way, I could tell you that Montreal still won the most Cups (10) by far after the first expansion in which Pittsburgh was. Hard pill to swallow, but here it is.

As a fan of the greatest team in the salary cap era I understand why you’re so bitter. You don’t real have anything to look forward to. (Unless you’re one of the Montreal fans who pretends Price is a good goalie LOLOLOL)

Not sure why you’re under the impression Montreal will somehow be a good team any time soon. They are almost as poorly ran as the oilers.

Even if the Pens become mediocre after the Crosby / Malkin era I’m still confident that the Pens being mediocre is better than the sh** show in Montreal
LOL just wait and we'll see. ;)

Literally any of these goalies can be considered the greatest, and any of these guys can be considered the 5th greatest. None of these guys are clearly better than the other 4.

I couldn’t disagree more.

Hasek was the best player in the entire league at his peak.

No one else on that list can really make that case IMO.

I’ve really never seen someone with worst comebacks than you. It lacks originality.

They indeed won 2 more cups, but got carried all the way by Roy.

I could also go on and say that Pittsburgh has been the best team in the salary cap era and won 3 more cups than Montreal in the 21th century, you know the one with 30 teams. But just because it’s Pittsburgh, they got lucky, eh Pepe :naughty:

That's fine. However, the general consensus in the hockey universe is that any of the 5 names I mentioned could be considered the GOAT. There's valid reasons for all of those guys to be considered the GOAT.

Not fully fair for those who did peak with a prime Howe, Gretzky or Lemieux around too.

They got lucky on the Crosby sweepstakes, that's it.

But but "I'm just trying to put an emphasis on a very specific period and erase all the history to make Pittsburgh looks like the greatest team ever...", eh Gene. :biglaugh:
