If I remember correctly. Bell owns both TSN and Rogers. Perhaps the going theory for them is lock up a cheaper deal through Rogers, then build them into the new TSN whilst allowing the old one to die.

They could, but why keep Mackenzie, Ferraro, Duthie and etc. when they're essentially useless 95% of the season?

Many will likely jump to Sportsnet or CBC.

This sucks. Even excluding personalities etc (who will relocate to other networks) TSN has the best quality broadcasts. Only station that actually let's you hear the game action and arena noise.
