Fun fact for those who are constantly ****ting on Trouba's offensive numbers: according to Corsica, only eight defensemen have scored 5v5 points at a higher rate than Trouba in 2016-18. That list includes three of the last four Norris winners, as well as widely recognised top 10 defensemen in Klingberg and Josi. The other three are Dougie Hamilton, Andrei Markov (no longer in the league) and an extremely sheltered Mikhail Sergachev. On top of that, Corsica has Trouba's point totals wrong, and a correction would actually move him higher on that list.

It is highly likely that your team's best offensive defenseman is way worse than Trouba.

The oilers can’t afford him without moving money
The jets can’t take money back

The poll being touted as fact is a popularity contest between fan bases so really means little.
The oilers defence still sucks
Bouchard is last best hope for the oilers due to ELC
