With him being recalled today, he deserves a thread.

Excited for this kid, I've noticed him every game I've watched in Providence.

Think he's way better suited for that 3C than JFK was.

Edit: just noticed there was an existing thread from April. Mods please merge.

Looking forward to watching him. I saw him in the rookie tourney and he stiffarmed a defender on the rush a good 5 feet back to create a lane to The net for himself. Never seen that before.

Somewhat of a weird move, his numbers in the AHL havent been anything special. Only made it to 3 games in prov this year and he looked decent but didn't necessarily look like one of the better players down there either. Will be interested to see reports on what scouts are in the arena tonight.

The Bruins site says he's wearing #82. If he's supposed to be a legit player, they need to get him a real number.

Afraid to say it... But possibly a showcase? Or maybe just seeing he's an option.
I was thinking this exactly....the media has linked him to trades with St.Louis / Schenn so anything is possible. Either way I want to see what this kid can do. Thought he should have made the team out of camp.

If his potential is still that of a bottom 6 center then the Bruins absolutely should go this route. It'll be nice to see some extra size in our line up at least in the meantime.

Like something in the 40s, 50s, 60s or 70s? They seem to already have a few legit players without real numbers.
That's what we get when we retire too many numbers, I get it for Orr and Bourque and that level, but who in 2019 cares about Lionel Hitchman?

But there's still 6, 10, 11, 12, 21, 22, 26, etc.

Woooo! Been hoping he'd see time up in the NHL sooner or later.

Might not overwhelm right away, but here's hoping he will. Would love to see him take that 3C and make it his own.

6 is kinda presumptuous for a kid

10 is Bjork

11 still stinks of Hayes

12,13 are open

21 Szwarz

22 Cehlarik

26 was just Colby Cave

Excited to watch him play. Very high on him. He could be a great third line center that’s hard to play against and will stick up for teammates. He brings a little more size too which I think is needed with the forwards

didn't Frederic wear 34 somewhere? College or Providence?

I like that for him...reminds me of Soderberg. 29 would be good too. or 41 like Jason Allison

10 points in his last 11 games. He was scoring at a half goal a game before he got injured too. He was also the best young center in training camp, better than JFK or Cave who both got time.
