Huh, I thought the max was 850, 875 means we can call up Smejkal, that seems like the best option to me (though I though he should have been up with us all along).

Yeah, I think it's league min +100, 850 would have been last years amount, and I didn't put two and two together,

We played the third pair 7 mins at 5v5, that's just not going to work against a team that's game plan is to tire you down with a relentless forcheck.

We played our 4th liners 7 mins at ES, I get that we were a man down, but again, it's a recipe for disaster against a team that's MO is to grind you down with relentless hard play.

Idk what the answer is when you're missing two middle 6 centers and playing a man short with MacEwen hurt, DJ had the right idea with getting the team off to a strong start, maybe all the penalties made it tough to rotate the bottom pair and 4th liners through (refs were atrocious btw, the calls both ways were just beyond weak), but you got to find a way to at least get the bottom pair out there more. Depth on D is supposed to be our strength right now, but we through that away with deployment decisions.

Have to agree.

Chych and Chabot started to look gassed half way through the game, which coincides with the momentum swing. Maybe if they were in mid-season form, you can get away with that, but not the 1st game of the season. Brann-Hamonic are a decent bottom pair. Use them.
