Well, it's one or two options. Re-sign Danault (prob 5-6M per for 5-8 years) or trade him. If they choose the former route, I don't see how KK will ever be able to develop as a top 6C. KK needs to play. He needs to play with better wingers.If Danault is traded (big if), sign M Koivu for one year
By re-signing Danault with a brand new lucrativecontract, I don't think they will ever place him on the third line and behind KK. It'd be shades of DD, and Plekanec over Galchenyuk and Eller all over again. Trevor Timmins, Churla, Bergevin all took a f******* reach on KK because he was an obvious positional need. Timmins has crapped the bed enough already since '03. He should live and die with his KK pick. Give the kid the best tools to succeed even if he sucks, leave him there. Just let him learn on the job
