I would trade our 1st for Dunn. This year's draft is not going to be very good. We have a ton of picks (several 2nd/3rd/4th/5th).

With Dunn Petry and Romanov that would make each pair with a d-man that can move the puck

If we can swap Kulak or Mete in a package for Dunn, we’d be dumb not to. Immediate upgrade on an already very good D and makes it a contender D Corp IMO.

I wanted to OS Dunn in the off-season. He’s be a great for on this team and bring the PMD component we really need.

Ya clearly Dunn is a close to 30 year old upcoming UFA and this will totally not be a hockey trade where a team gives up on a young player like every year.

IMO, there could be 2 reasons:
1. Expansion draft. STL feels they will absolutely lose Dunn since they've already given 4 Dmen a NTC
2. Dunn wants cash. He is a RFA at the end of the season, and STL will likely be strapped for cash.

He already prove that he can produce at a good level. In STL, there is Krug and Faulk who plays a similar type of game of him. With the Habs he would bring a unique dimension to our D so he will a have role as PP QB that he can’t have in STL.

He sounds awful defensively, and is sheltered heavily by the Blues. Meh, I'd rather keep Kulak or get Mete in the lineup, if it means giving up decent assets for Dunn.

Kulak is sheltered heavily here to but at least Dunn bring some thing offensively
