That defense is horrible, thats far worse than it is now and will not make us a contender at all.

I would still love to trade Spezza, if we could get Kane you do that everytime. But seeing as Murray doesnt have the balls or the money to move him this season I say we stick to the plan and get a LW (Moulson, Stewart, Glencross, Callahan ect..) and go after a D man in the off season.

Something like Pageau + 2nd/Gryba for Moulson (if we can resign him)

Which leaves us to trade for a dman with Wiercioch, Puempel, Prince, Condra.. ect of sign one in the off season. Brian Boyle will probably be available, not sure f we can grab him however. He isnt playing the best but is that veteran top 4 D man this team needs.

Now, during next seasons deadline we move Anderson (maybe andy goes in the summer) and Spezza for as much as we can (ROR, Kane type). After that we have a young team with a lot of skill that will continue to compete and progress.

I really like that lineup. Seems plausible too.
Would love Niskanen instead of Boyle, but he will probably re-sign with Pitts/be more expensive.
