Nothing fantastic, but i think it will help both teams....

David Desharnais
Alexei Emelin
Devante Smith Pelly
Christian Thomas

For

Patrick Elias
Tuomo Ruutu
NJD 3rd round pick

hum, I wouldn't do that for the Habs poV.

Ruutu is DD but way more useless,
3rd rounder is no use for the Habs right now,
Elias is 39, will be 40 lol

and you'd be giving a young forward with some upside(DSP) Emelin,
DD I understand but eh, and a depth player in Thomas.

Ruutu is basically a 3rd liner at best atm, lol

So do you think New Jersey have no reason to refuse that deal?
The gets a lots of assets for basically wind....

A 39 year old player playing his last season.(But has been a 20+ goals scorer for 9 of the last 10 season...on a not so good team)...and a record of 125pts in 162 games in the PO. The 3rd rounder will probably be a non-NHLer in 6 years from now. Ruutu hits a lot and is good defensively...but meh.

Pacioretty - Galchenyuk - Semin
Elias - Plekanec - Gallagher
Ruutu - Eller - Kassian
Flynn - Mitchell - Weise

(Bournival - DLR - Scherback)
(Hudon - McCarron - Andrighetto)

Markov - Subban
Beaulieu - Petry
Pateryn/Tinordi - Gilbert
Barbiero

+ Freeing 7.5M for next summer to make a big splash.
+ Galchenyuk playing where we need him the most.

I hate when people say it opens up a spot for Tinordi when Pateryn clearly deserves the ice-time ahead of him at this point. I know the guy isn't a once highly touted first round pick, but he's the better player nonetheless. For now, at least.

Doesn't matter cause one plays on the right and the other plays on the left. We should keep both.

It's Gilbert that needs to go.

I have to say, I've seen much crazier stuff on here than this.
