Seems like it.....but you have to see this trade in 3D....just open up $7.6M for next year. Open up a spot for Tinordi.
As for Ruutu, it's pretty much a cap dump but he does comes with a tons of hits, something that might helpful since Prust is gone.

I hate when people say it opens up a spot for Tinordi when Pateryn clearly deserves the ice-time ahead of him at this point. I know the guy isn't a once highly touted first round pick, but he's the better player nonetheless. For now, at least.

He's already a bust, hence the $1.1 million per year contract. In reality he just got a 1 year tryout contract to see if there is anything left in the tank.
