Stop talking about a B teams etc. Finland is only missing two (yes,they are good players) players, otherwise its the best possible team. We go into this tournament every year with our best players and every year we loose almost every game. Our performances in the wjc are also horrible, so maybe its time to start accepting the fact, that we just suck. Our hyped up prospects are not that good(Granlund!). Time to face reality. They should bring in Russia instead of us to this tournament. Russia could give a real challenge to usa,canada and sweden. Finland doesnt belong in this tournament. We should be playing with slovakia and switzerland, although switzerland might be a little too good for us.....

The tournament better reflects the WJC team's strength without the big guns anyway. Yeah, Finland's missing those guys, but they likely will later on aswell. Sweden's missing the Lindholms and Forsberg, those guys are not likely to suit up after Christmas either. Goes for USA and Canada aswell.

That said, it's an exhibition tournament. It's about evaluating fringe WJC guys just as much as getting the W's.

I hope Korpisalo can play at least an acceptable season, otherwise I'd look for other options to back up Saros in the WJC. Namely I'm talking about Juvonen and possibly even Kähkönen.

Yes, let's just give up, it's the most sensible solution! There will never be any good Finnish hockey players again and we should just all crawl into a hole and die. Seriously, come on. Obviously playing with teams that we can beat with 5+ goals (Slovakia) is the best option.

It's always useless to make up excuses and this no exception. Finns seem to do poorly in this tournament ALWAYS, but catch up the big nations closer to WJC. So I'm not too worried about the results and we actually have a good coach in our hands! Looking forward WJC.
