I love William Nylander enough that my handle is a joke on his name but all the people who think Vegas adds are nuts. Gardiner's good but he's expiring, Hainsey is trash and expiring, and Zaitsev's worse - he's trash and signed for the next six years. Miller, Schmidt, and Theodore are all young, legit top-4 defensemen. Reilly Smith is a solid top-six winger. This isn't "getting a stabilizing defenseman for Nylander" like a lot of fans want. This is "setting up your defense for the next 5-8 years in exchange for Nylander."
