I thought Dell might be a bit more money than that. That's a good price, and good for a 3rd stringer. Decent signing.

Nice signing

We needed a #3G and we got the best one still on the market imo

Were not exactly flush with goaltending options so this is a much needed signing

In the grand scheme of things its probably not going to matter much (we hope!) But overall this is a great signing for a #3

If the NHL is so keen on a full season in a short time frame, depth especially in net becomes crucial.

Dell had a -0.1 GSAA/60 (41st), Hutchinson had a -0.66 (69th). So Dell is still a below average goalie, but it's nice that our 3rd stringer is better than our backup goalie from last year. Hell, Dell was even slightly better than Campbell

Dell was good two years ago, but it seems like since then both of San Jose's goalies have fallen off of a cliff. I don't know if that is the defense, but I am sure he is just happy to be making a paycheque this year and maybe gets another shot at an NHL job next year. He will have an opportunity to be a starter behind a good AHL team and is great insurance at least.

Leafs can acquire a cheap non-tender candidate next year to expose to expansion.
