2012-13 was the worst.

Braydon Coburn
Nik Grossmannnnnnn
Erik Gustafsson*
Kurtis Foster
Bruno Gervais
Kent Huskins
Matt Konan* (Who? His career vanishes after this season)
Oliver Lauridsen*
Andreas Lilja
Brandon Manning*
Andrej Meszaros
Jay Rosehill
Luke Schenn
Kimmo Timonen

14 Dmen making an appearance for the Flyers...only 4 of them drafted by us, and 3 of those 4 were bad. Our best dmen were acquired via trade and we relied heavily on cap-inefficient FA to surround that core with the league's castoffs.

Rosehill was a forward.

Was it Rosehill-Hall-Rinaldo as a 4th line back then? I think so, or someone else instead of Rinaldo.

That was utterly terrible season. This collection of dmen will never be forgotten. Poor Kimmo

Most of the guys listed weren't even camp try outs, however it is fun to go back and look at some of the depth defenseman the Flyers have had over the years. Sean O'Donnell was actually a decent player for the Flyers later in his career. Let's also not forget the likes of Jaroslav Modry, Matt Walker, Oskars Bartulis, etc.

Also, I haven't even seen one of my all times favorites mentioned yet:

Jay was not a Dman IIRC

... But seriously, I wouldn't be shocked if it's Mark Streit as a mentor and depth D-Man on a dirt cheap contract to end his career.

No No No No No No

You cant mentor when you cant play your position..or even skate.

It's a joke he picks his own ice time even playing all of double minors or 5 minute major penalties he stays in the ice as long as he wants.

I counted Rosehill because he did play D elsewhere and I have zero doubt Homer had that in mind as a potential option (so versatile!) when he got the goon.

Hextall

“I said with [unrestricted free agent Jaromir] Jagr the other day that was just not a direction we were going,’’ Hextall said during a brief question and answer session in Voorhees. “In saying that, I do anticipate bringing in a defenseman into training camp on a tryout in case our kids aren’t ready."

My memory of rosehill about 2 years ago in a phantoms game at Hershey he tried to pick a fight with a drunk fan they call the heckler before the game started. This guy was yelling and cursing at the phantoms players and as rosehill was leaving the ice pregame he turned his stick to try to hit the guy in the face as the guy was yelling down the tunnel.
Rosehill stopped and turned back but security grabbed the heckler and escorted him out. 5pm game and already hammered

Don't think a story involving Jay Rosehill will ever top this one.
