I'm surprised Paul Kariya got so little support last round. It feels like he's beer here a while. Was this only his 2nd eligible vote, or his 3rd?

I had him 4th.

I had him 4th.

I was a little surprised at that too. Most of the conversation around him seemed to be pretty positive, but I suppose it wasn't convincing.

Based on his vote spread, looks like he may be another polarizing Bure-type situation.

2nd time.

Two things work against him: people who place high priority on playoffs will NR him, and people who place high priority on career length will NR him.

He only went on the one lengthy playoff run (2003), and in facing the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 8th best defensive teams (average opponent GA was in the 170s, so basically an all-time difficult run of the 4-round era), it didn’t do him any favors. Otherwise, he had 27 points in 25 playoff games in his career on teams that won just 6 of those 25.

Hopefully this Sunday these posts don't prove to be empty words!

Seriously? I sent my list to quoipourquoi Sunday afternoon. I take from that he didn’t forward it to you.

You guys strangely decided to make an admin switch mid-vote on a Saturday night. Not everybody wanna spend their Sunday reading threads about hockey players...

If Weztex indeed voted according to the terms set on the first post of the first page of R2V9 vote (in other words, sent his vote to QPQ), and his vote wasn't counted in the table above, the results should be amended (even if that means changing the players eligible for Vote10) when Weztex's ballot is "found out".

If that's the case, then I'm happy to report we have a full slate of voting. I do not, however, have your ballot - @quoipourquoi did not send it to me, though he did send one that he received earlier. I will be happy to amend the results if necessary, once I have it.

I did not "decide" to make an admin change. I am running this thing because it would not be running right now if I wasn't doing it.

Personally I'd rather see 7 guys go in when the guy in 7th is 8 ahead of 8th but only 5 behind 5th. But I don't think that's how we do it.
