Kinda weird that the first place finisher got only one first place vote and that two top five finishers didn't get any. I guess a more level evaluation played to their advantages in that round.

On the other hand, 11 out of 15 thought Johnson was amongst the three best players. That's some serious support.

Right. That's what I mean. The support for him was pretty level near the top. There was very little polarization. Over half of the votes for Luongo were in the 2-4 range, so he was similar, while Stewart had a similar concentration around third. The three of them combined for two NR's. That's a very different story from Bure and Perreault.

My vote for Connor McDavid wasn't well entered. In and of itself, it wouldn't change a thing, but I'm not certain about any possible ripple effetc.

EDIT : Corrected.

That the round had lower participation almost certainly helped them too. I was expecting the other shoe to drop when I received a ballot just after the deadline, but it was one that actually helped both of them.

Definitely seeing some fall-off in participation, both in voting and in the discussion threads. Hopefully it's just temporary, considering we still have 2/3rds of the project to go.

I know that my decrease in participation in the threads isn't a temporary matter. Still voting and all, and reading all the posts.

I think in terms of ballots that it’s at least partly because I ran a more strict deadline this week (though I did take a vote at 9:10pm).

Last week, I had something like three ballots come in after the deadline (but before I ran my count), so I kinda figured we might have a lower number this round since I was wrapping it up on time.

My vote didn't go through for some reason. Clicked send, next time I opened my browser it was still sitting there. Resent, but came here to see I was 23 minutes too late. My ballot wouldn't have changed the orders of any inducted players except Bure and McDavid.

IMO, we could get away with voter dropoff when we had 20+ list makers, but this project is too small for that. At least when it comes to people who voted every previous week, there really should be minor deadline extensions for snafus like this. If it's possible of course; I know it isn't always for the admin(s).

Seems like it didn't matter all that much, but it could. The smaller the project, the more individual votes matter

We did talk about ending the project as a "top 150" if voter participation doesn't stay up.

I'm not blaming anyone; I am also less engaged than I thought I would be.
