Would be a great haul for AZ. He's having a decent year too. If he plays every game from here on out he's on pace to score 36 points which come close to his career high 41.

Connauton would carry the 1 million salary into next year for the Habs as well. Or the Habs could take on Michalek's expiring deal for the rest of the year to make the salary work even more?

After Datsyuk's salary comes off the books, this allows them to have similar salary but with two serviceable players in return especially if Doan retires as well.
