Only if we're doing it because we've added someone else. Don't need to move him for the sake of it, and I'm moving Drouin first anyway if it's my choice.

Byron is a 30+ years old, injury-riddled, 5'7 4th line winger with 3 years remaining at his 3.4M a season contract. Let that settle in for a second. He's a one-trick poney, and any team can sign a Grabner or a Cousins to a 1 year, 1M deal on the UFA market and get more or less what Byron gives you.

This whole post is riddled with, at best, gross exaggeration.

First of all, with Byron's skillset, he is easily a 3rd line calibre player, not fourth line and, when on his game, he can easily slot in to a top six.

He has elite speed, is one of the top shootout performers in the NHL, plays a very respectable 2-way game and his highly versatile slotting in at both wings with no drop off in performance. His speed also makes him a valuable asset for four on four OT hockey as well.

Pretending he's on par with someone like Nick Cousins completely ignores that Byron does many things considerably better than Cousins ever has.

Agreed almost 100%, except the fact that ot are played 3on3 now ;)

So... where's your "big move" at? What about you stop coming up with bullshit on this board first before calling the others out on supposed exaggeration when it's not.

What a stupid thread. One injury riddled season and people hate him now.

First off - Drouin sucks 100% times more. Secondly, no one is touching Byron's contract unless we add significantly.

And I wouldn't even more Drouin without someone to take his place. Zero point in moving pieces just to move them.

Must be able to get a pick or 2 still for him. MB could still get a ufa and then put him out there, same thing with BG on an expiring contract,he will be too expensive next contract. Should get Tyler Johnson as he's locked in for a while at 5 and he can play C or RW

If we retain or take a contract back then sure we could easily get a decent pick for him. But I just don't see teams wanting to take on that cap hit.

You seriously can't figure out what the big move was?

For real?

If people don't want me to share information anymore, that's no problem.
