That Wendy's pricing thing was a big gaff by the CEO. He didn't lead with the main point which was REDUCED prices during off-peak times and everyone assumed it was a cash grab to increase prices during high demand times.

An opportunity spoiled. They quickly retracted the comments and plans to test it at this time.

and a $50 cat tax was donated.

Went to the new Ringling brothers circus tour at Prudential last night. It's more of a Cirque du Soleli but more fun instead of artistic type show now. The acts they have are incredible though. The people on the flying trapeze were going essentially the same height as where the top of scoreboard normally hangs. Lots of incredible athletes doing stuff I can't even imagine, another guy rode around on a 34 foot unicycle. People flipping on spring boards high into the air on to a chair that's probably 25 feet in the air.

One thing I didn't understand was why they had the guys who were clearly supposed to be the clowns but they weren't dressed like clowns. Just weird to me to have a circus and no real clowns especially with Ringling brothers history of having clowns.

The whole animal thing is what it is, I get why they don't have them anymore but it really does make the whole thing just feel like another Cirque type show and that's fine but can we please not have this abomination of a black mirror dog used instead?

Overall I still highly recommend going if you are into this type of stuff and don't spend a lot on tickets.

I’m in Palm Beach visiting my parents. We went to a late breakfast at one of their favorite restaurants and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many hearing aids in one place.
You’re not too far from my buddies, who are just up the road in Stuart.

Definitely lots of older people there, as is the case with much of this state haha.

We’re all meeting up today in Daytona for the supercross event at the speedway. We do this every year or at least most years. It’s my job to bring most of the food and grill, because they ride up on their bikes and there’s no way to bring all that up. They pay for my ticket and parking space.

I can’t wait to eat some of this food.

Enjoy your time with your parents in Palm Beach and safe travels home!

We went to a nice dinner at 5 pm. Every woman there other than my mom was at least 20 years younger than their husband (my mom is four years younger). Which made the wives maybe 60-70. And to see these troglodytes not realize how they looked with their much younger wives was pretty funny.

Anyone watch the Kaitlin Clarke hype phenomenon?

I know there is some great white hype factor going on, but she never disappointments in terms of giving a great performance.

You just described my friend from over there, the older one of the two. He's turning 53 in about a week and he has a new girlfriend he's been with for about 3 months now and she's only 30. It's his first relationship in probably 10 years (the one before that was almost that much younger than him, but not quite) and to say he's basically a 16 year old trapped in a 53 year old's body is probably making him sound kind of stupid. He's got the intelligence of a 53 year old for sure, but he's kind of like Pee Wee Herman.

He's also a musician and his girlfriend had no idea when she met him. So it's not like she fell for him over his music or anything. I'm happy for him because he hasn't been into anyone like this in a long time. They were on the phone a lot yesterday.

The younger friend is 41 and lives with his grandmother. He takes care of her, at least financially. She doesn't need help physically. They're both musicians and work in the industry as techs for bands, so they're touring for 6-8 months of the year.

They're like brothers in all but blood and hang out almost every day and live a block from each other. That's why the one bought that place, so they could be close and hang out every day. They sleep late and go surfing whenever they can or ride jet ski's or even motorcycles. A lot of people are envious of all of their down time.

The older one is actually a snowbird and spends the summers in Jersey when he's not on the road and the rest of the year in Florida.

We had a great time yesterday. Talking about how much the Devils suck and the goalies and Ruff. And we ate a ton.

Just wait until she’s 70 and he’s over 90. Women age much better than men. That 20 years will really stand out at some point. Dinner with my folks was us sitting at a table and a bunch of other old timers sitting around and where the husband was generally much older than the third or fourth wife and it was comical. Some woman in her 50s with fake everything sitting with a shriveled prune that made me look youthful. And the woman is wearing something very current and chic and the guy is wearing generic khakis and a generic button down shirt and a huge Rolex that is too big on his wrist to go with his orthopedic shoes. There was more than one cane and walker around. Really stereotypical and funny.

15/20 years ago the wintering migration of Sand Hill cranes to Somerset NJ used to be a bit of secret. Only a few migrated to a couple of very select places and seemingly very few people knew about it. Now it's a little more publicized due to the Audubon society but still many people just pass by having no clue these incredible birds are right in their backyard in plain sight.

Taken this morning.
