You don't even have to hit Glenn imo. Just kill Abe and end it at that and you have a satisfying season finale. The way they did it was godawful though for what was otherwise a really great episode imo.

There's good cliffhangers and there's bad cliffhangers.

"They're ****ing with the wrong people" season finale? Awesome. Camera going black and blood flowing on that and then credits? Lol, bad.

There is obviously going to be some kind of cliff hanger. There is with any show. But what they did last year was a cheap cliff hanger. If they show Abe getting his head bashed in and then Negan swing at Glenn and it pans out at that moment with everybody knowing Abe is done and Glenn just got smashed but they end it there. You are giving people the "satisfaction" of a pay off but also leaving a hook there to bring them back in next season to see the aftermath. They have wasted so much potential. Last years finale should have been the best episode the series has ever done but they got in their own way and the entire thing had less impact. If that episode ends with Glenn's eye popping out of his head and him calling for Maggie that is by far the best episode they've ever done. But instead it is the biggest disappointment.
With hindsight, they should have ended last season's cliff hanger right before Negan steps out of the camper. The door swings open, Rick and crew are lined up staring into the blackness of the doorway...fade to black.

Agree with you. They botched one of the most memorable episodes (imo) by leaving it as a cheesy cliff hanger. They should of done Abe at the end of the finale and then shocked us with Glenn in the season premiere.

I think they should've shown Abraham's body and then cut to black. Everyone would've been satisfied with that, but they still would've had another trick up their sleeve with Glenn getting whacked afterwards. I now see that others have already said this.

nah, all the parents would have complained about Abe's brutal death and they wouldn't have even killed Glenn off

sasha is SUCH A BAD CHARACTER

i cringe so bad watching that part last week when she thinks shes convinced eugene to bring her a knife or gun or something and it shows her saying "thank you" and trying to look menacing

just so bad, she can NOT act and the writing is so cheesy for her

Well, TWD is so predictable at this point that I fully expect Sasha to die. They usually don't give these types of flashbacks and focus otherwise.
