Brown ( Sens) and a 4th round pick went to St Loius for Sanford.

Isles traded Nick Leddy for Richard Panik (@50%) and 2021 2nd round pick

I think both guys Moore and Wags could be picked up, we should hope so anyways.

It would open up just over 4 million, which gives them some much needed room.

Smart moves by Sweeney, cannot have Moore making 2.75 million sitting in the stands as a 7/8 guy.

The John Moore story, beginning to end, from all aspects, is the most confusing player for me since I began watching in 1990.

1. I didn’t quite get why he was signed
2. I didn’t quite get where he was supposed to slide in
3. I didn’t quite get what his injuries were
4. I didn’t quite get why people hated on him
5. I didn’t quite get why people trashed his game so regularly, he always seemed like a decent player to me

If I was another team, and had a need for a third pair guy, I’d absolutely look at him.

I think he is a solid D man if you don't expect him to be what he isn't.

It's that contract.....not Moore's fault.

Who would be of interest to the Bruins? Nothing jumps off the page as a natural fit.

Ross Johnston can play a good 4th line game and would bring some heat with the fists. I don't think he's an everyday player but he has the credibility physically that Frederic is ( was ) looking to earn. This is of course, he gets waived or they look to trade him.

I could easily be wrong but my guess is the Bruins know full-well that there is zero interest in either player so why risk losing a guy on waivers that they also don't want to lose when they can expose and demote these two guys and not risk your depth.

For example, lets say a team considers Kuhlman and Wagner equivalent players, the difference now is their contract. Same if you were comparing Moore to Zboril. So a Zboril or Kuhlman MAY have waiver-level value to another team because neither are on contracts of any real significance. Justr cheap depth. Whereas the contracts of Wagner and Moore are detriments to picking them up off the waiver wire, in particularly the extra year after this one.

I'd almost be shocked if Wagner or Moore get claimed. But I've been wrong before so who knows.

little surprised about Moore but good move on Wags and not because I think Moore is a top 4 guy but I thought he`d be a good depth D man to step in when injuries occur
Maybe he clearing cap space for a trade. :sarcasm::popcorn:
