he's not coming here

. Yes he is

-trouble with management unlike Neidymeyer. Yzerman. Kariya. Sakic
-port moody 30 hours closer than sikamoo or cranbrook.
-if he goes for 1 yr arrbirtration when his RFA is up it coincides with the sedins off the books
-sven baertschi and travis green core canucks moving forward
-tweets an odd amount of port moody public service related tweets
-his time when not with an nhl team is spent 100% in port moody with family and friends. Like all nhlers for most part.
-johansen held out on training camp and trained with the vancouver giants.
-weak canadian dollar means that his pay cheque is inflated.
- a top line consisting of a player from port moody and abbotsford is out of dreams them self.

Hes coming home.

It'd be great if he can come to Van, but so far we can only speculate. Also I've mentioned this before, just like Lucic, how much is he gonna cost us? We're likely gonna overpay for him.

Prospects wise:

Sedins retire and we're leaning on Bo and McCann.

They have McDavid and Draisaitl.

They have Nurse on D. We have nobody on D.

Their C depth is better. They aren't sheltered behind the Sedins
You forgot to consider the losing environment and they eventually will lose a chunk of them due to cap issues.

The players they lose due to cap issues will also return them more picks/prospects/vets, though. As long as they actually deal them instead of letting them walk to free agency, which would be dreadful management.

Imagine them picking up Tanev+Hamhuis, for example, for a package involving players nearing their contract's expiration (plus a cap dump)

They have a lot of assets to play with.

I think we have to sign Lucic but if i were Lucic id wanna win a cup and if he signs with LA for two more years hes gonna have a shot at a few. And hopefully by that time we have some really good prospects and finds and THEN he signs with the Canucks for an hometown discount :)

That's nice.

He's not a UFA so to suggest he's going to be in a Vancouver uniform anytime soon is outlandish at best. He'll be a UFA in a couple years, but you have zero sources that suggest he is even remotely interested in playing for the Canucks.

Ca-cucks are 6-2-2 in the last 10. Lol.

Need to be 2-6-2

Yes, but the impressive thing is that despite that record in the last 10 games, the 'Nucks are still tied with the Oilers for the fewest ROW's in the entire conference....just goes to show how bad they were in December. Those 10 OTL's could cost us a playoff spot, but still not bad enough to have Columbus-Edmonton ever overtake us.

Alot of the teams around us have been winning as of late to. So not much has changed.
