I'm confused by Ottawa's last pick. On the last couple of pages of the draft thread it says Patric Hornqvist, but on the first page that sums up the picks it says Colby Armstrong. Which one is it?

it's a little mistake, I don't think Armstrong has been drafted yet

Inglorious Basterds was a very good movie. Highly entertaining, with a wicked twist at the end. Worth the ticket.

I was really excited to see it ever since I saw the trailer for it a month or two ago on the web, not to mention it was a Terintino movie.

Just have been too busy with moving into a new place and school starting back up last week (homework in 4 classes and a programming lab already)

I will probably just wait until it is in Redbox like I have been doing recently :sarcasm:

Haha, yea, i got 50 pgs of math to look over, and a lab report to complete for Friday. I had a free day on Tuesday, so headed to the theaters for some fun. If u get free time, watch the movie, its extremely awesome. Love, sex, drugs, blood and all of these things are present.

School sucks.

Wow, you watched quite alot of movies this summer. I heard District 9 was good, but u think differently i guess. I hate the Final Destination movies. Just a load of crap.

Transformers was super awesome. i give it a 9/10. From that list, i wanna watch Time Travelers, District 9, GI Joe, and Sisters keeper. Avatar seems like a pretty good one as well.

The number of skipped picks is getting pathetic. Do some of the GM's just not know anymore players or what?

Hey guys, sorry I havent been around. I just got to school like a week or two ago and have been busy with studying and other "distractions". If I could just get the BPA for a little while longer I can become fully involved again in the league, probably in time for the prospect draft. If thats not ok I would understand completely if you guys wanted to replace me.

Oh and thanks to the guy who has been picking for me.

Your team is mostly based off youngsters and it's a team that should be good in the long term but if you want the rating on short term I'm giving it a 4. Your defense is ok, your goaltender can be totally screwed is Mason enters a sophomore slump and he is only 21 after all. Your offense well for a league that has a cap of 60M you could of more impact players and I think comparing your offense to other teams your is below average.

I gotta agree with the poster above. I like your choice of Steve Mason more than he does and you do have a lot of good young players. In fact, a lot of your choices were standalone good picks. But you've picked too many of the same kind of guys. Your team looks like it has good depth but it doesn't really have a top line.

You have 13 million in capspace because you're lacking a lot of elite talent. A first line with O'Sullivan and Bergeron on it isn't likely to carry its team very far.

Basically, I think you made quite a few shrewd picks, but you didn't really go for any big fish. I'm also not enamored of your defence. I think Edler's a good pick and, considering how late you got him, Russell was a steal. But again, as an overall defense corps, I don't like it for this year.

As the above poster mentioned though, you'll be a force to be reckoned with in the years to come.

I hope you don't take offense, that's just my honest analysis.

+RW is strong
+Steve Mason was amazing last year, can he do it again?
+Edler is a great young Dman, he has alot of potential
+lots of cap space
+if Nikolai Zherdev can sign with a team soon he should help your lineup alot

-weak #1 center, Bergeron is a big injury risk, he hasn't been atop six forward since his injury
-weak LW
-you don't have any star players
-overall your forwards are below average for a fantasy draft
-Defense is average at best, you don't have a proven #1 Defenseman

5.9/10

Not to derail the discussions on whose team is better or anything, but I planned to after the main draft do a power ranking poll.

I was thinking of having each team PM me with their top 5 votes then give 5 points to first place, 4 to 2nd, 3 to 3rd, etc. and then add all of the scores up to see who the best teams in all of the owner's eyes are.

I was also thinking it would be fun to vote on other, superfluous things, like:

best top forward line, best defense, best healthy scratches, team with most potential in the future, etc.

Feel free to drop some ideas of your own on how to organize it all.
