How long until we start worrying about Werenski being the next to go?

(Yes, Korpisalo may be on the move today/soon.. but that’s much less of a concern)

I give Z some time. If he wants to sign an extension on July 28 I’ll do it. But id wait for the dust to settle o the offseason and then approach him closer to camp about what his thoughts are. If he’s in, sign him. If he’s unsure, then kick the can down the road until around the deadline and ask again. If he says no either Immediately or at the deadline, you look to trade him next offseason for sure.

Nashville would probably like to get rid of Johansen or Duchene. If there was retention and picks, anyone have any interest? Regardless, Jarmo has to get a #1/#1-ish center.

Werenski is probably going to be looking for something similar to Cale Makar. If the Jackets weren't going to pay Jones what he got, are they going to pay Werenski? If the answer is no, move him now.

Pass for Johansen and pass for Duchene. Werenski for 8M and 8Years maybe.
Jones 7years 9.5M never.
