and I would be really surprise if we keep the 4 2nd round pick ! I think he will or advanced to have an other 1st round or trade some for a player

I'd agree. I don't think we keep all 4 of our seconds. I'd think we'd be able to move up by using some combination of our second and/or Chicago's. I sure hope we don't do anything though and trade all 4 seconds for a couple of 3rd liners.

I would like to advance for Veleno or Kotkaniemi

I don't think our early seconds may suffice though. We may have to add a prospect (don't laugh).

This is an older article, but it gives some idea of the value of picks.

What does it cost to trade up in the draft?

Assuming Veleno or Kotkaniemi go around 10th-14th, our 2nd and Chicago may only meet about 70-80% of the perceived value.

Now, if we were interested in a player like Kravtsov (I am very high on him), who I think will go early to mid-20s, our two picks may do it.

I understand. We'll have to wait till draft day I guess. I am sure Kotkaniemi is rising and Veleno as well. However, sure, I could possibly see Veleno fall a bit but I'm going to guess he's still going top-20.

First round there's like a good chance we will get an NHL player potential star.
Second round is also valuable but don't expect superstars.
Beyond third round is a crap shot.
