Blake wins 4-3 in the shootout. I had horses on both sides so it was bittersweet, but regardless 6AA hockey is as good as it gets.

Misspoke, it was a penalty shot to send Blake to state. Never seen anything like it

Right call, I was with BSM fans and most of us agreed it was the right call. Mostly just disappointed it came down to a penalty shot

I'm mostly disappointed two privates were in the Finals.

I’ll never know why parents who live in the Edina school district send their kids to Blake.

About the same. My hatred for privates runs deep as they have taken far too many of my Govies over the years.

Blake has 20 kids per class, EHS 30. Also a chance to play on most Varsity teams, if that matters to you. There is also the perception at Blake that you are rubbing elbows with the upper crust, while Edina actually has a fair amount of modest earning, middle class families, and even....gasp....renters!

I know Edina has had the government shove low income funding programs down their throats and there is some of that going on there (as in just about every community these days), but it's still a wash as far as lesser of two evils (to me).

When I said I didn’t know why they sent their kids to Blake when they live in Edina it wasn’t so much that I didn’t know why, I just thought it was a stupid thing to do.

According to this, yes. Well, it goes 3rd place A, Championship A, 3rd place AA, Championship AA.

Anyone have anymore information on Hermantown moving up to AA? Thought I saw a couple years ago that they were planning on it. Can't find anything recently on it and see they are in the single A bracket.
