Sometimes you need a little bit more of a challenge I guess. I know an old timer who jumped on a deer's back and slit it's throat once. Utter heathenry.

That’s a complete savage. I don’t think many people could fathom how almost impossible that would be. I use a compound almost all the time now. Unless I was going for an animal that was needed for a long shot I take the bow everytime for the challenge!

I have a list of names which is very, very long - if I share it with you, would you consider going after them and leaving the deer and elk and moose alone?

My hierarchy of jams/preserves

1a. Strawberry
1b. Raspberry
1c. Huckleberry/Blackberry
2. Apple-Mint-peppercorn jelly (This is stuff I can only get once a year from one of the local farms...Dear Lord is this stuff good)
3. Apple Jelly

Then the rest aren't even worth mentioning

After reading the speculation about Hexy's after-game team meals I wonder what he'd say about the glorious meal my friend made this weekend. I should've taken a picture of it's splendor. We had Shrimp Scampi with sliced steak and filet and a salad of greens and cucumber with I think oil and vinegar dressing. I'm not sure how much of the meat was sous vide before hitting the frying pan but holy hell it was tender. God I love having a foodie for a friend.

One year when my friends rented a cottage in the Adirondacks the owners left us some homemade jellies and one was watermelon jelly. I've never seen it anywhere else but I'd kill to have some again.

Intriguing. I would definitely give it a try if I ever came across some.

I am actually a person who loves to try food I have never had. I am not what one would call a "picky" eater typically. There are only a few things food wise that I truly do not like.

At this point in time my top 5 least liked foods would be:
Black licorice (or anything with that flavor)
Bleu Cheese
Gingerbread (of any kind)
Carrot cake (not even sure how this is a thing)
Any beer that has the letters I.P.A. on the label

Gingerbread/snaps are OK but I haven't had them in years. Hating Carrot Cake is fighting words. Same with pumpkin and zucchini bread. Rest of that list is gross crap.

I can't stand IPAs either...or DIPAs, TIPAs, and all the other variants.

Though I do love me some sour beer and I know most people don't like that either.
