A buddy of mine have the standard “hit as many restaurants on Veterans Day as possible” tradition that many veterans have. Our record is 3 or 4. This year we hit two. Texas Roadhouse was handing out vouchers for a veterans meal to use in the next 30 days or so. The line was insane, serpentining through several parking lots so we skipped it. Apple bees was our first real stop. They offered us a free shirt, pint glass, beer koozy, and a homemade card from a child of their servers. It was really sweet.
I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, and had a few Sam adams octoberfests
After Applebees, we hit up On the Border. Ordered a 2 piece combo of chicken empanadas and chicken tinga enchiladas along with some 18oz fishbowl looking Dos Equis.
We finished it off by stopping and grabbing cigars and drinking a whiskey(unsure what brand, I didn’t pour).
