I think Nico is an 0 for in his career. Think he was 0 for 3 last year in the shootout and forgot what he was the year before. I just looked it up a few minutes ago, but can't recall.

Hughes started out like 0 for 4 or 5, but did score on his last two attempts before tonight.

Remember, Kovalchuk was actually a below average shootout guy too, before the 11-12 season. I think he was like 25% in his career before that season, where he went like 10 for 13 or something.

Shit, Goose has more goals than Henrique ever did and goose played like 45 games only, lol

Glens Bratt obsession never fails haha. But I agree that Bratt has looked great the last handful of games. He needs to keep that up. As for Zacha, he has to play every game like he is playing against Hynes.

I can safely say that no one in their right mind expected Bratt to have any "breakout" season this year.

I mean...look at who is coaching the team.

How the F can anyone(not named Nico) have a breakout season with a Hiney-Head disciple and Kowalski behind the bench?

Get back to me when Bratt is struggling under a Legit NHL Head Coach and Coaching staff and only then will I agree with the Anti-Bratt naysayers. o_O

Thanks for this!

Henrique is 14% in his career. How the hell did he get to take so many attempts? The same reason Palmieri did. Because he was one of the best goal scorers on the team for a lot of his time here, just as Palmieri has been.

This doesn't necessarily translate to shootout goals though, like Jacob Josefson taught us.

Palmieri is 20% career in the shootout. It's a joke if he's in the top 5-6 shooters again next shootout.

I swear he got tips from Brodeur or something lol. It's weird how he suddenly became a threat in the shootout.
He did get tips from Brodeur about the shootout.

It was actually on record that he did talk to Marty about how to score in the shootout early in that 11-12 season.

Hughes definitely doesnt play off the puck well, I didnt comment much this season on it, but the kid doesnt know how to play the boards down low....not that it is surprising though. He is outmatched size wise for sure and strength wise....but the decision making is poor down low, where to be, etc..

Will be concerned in a few years if he doesn't adapt. I expect next season will be easier for him a bit... Due to age and bulking...

So... Just got back.

Few things...

Did Blackwood look REALLY off tonight? Like, not just soft goals, but even playing the puck he was dishing it off to the Preds multiple times?

Nice to see Zacha and Bratt score.

Speaking of Zacha, I keep saying he has chemistry with Wood. Why do we insist on playing them on different lines?

I'm beginning to get concerned about Hughes. He just doesn't seem mentally ready. I'm not talking about the shootout attempt. I'm talking about his passing, play making and defending.

Not tank talk, but I kind of liked the outcome. We got a point while Nashville gains on the 'Yotes.

I didn't expect a breakout season. How can anyone have a breakout season with a f'n Coaching Staff that we Have????:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

I want to wait and see what he can do when he has a REAL NHL Coach coaching him and the team in an actual system that plays to his and the other's strengths.

With Nas, all this is...is spinning our wheels while simply giving Bratt and others PT to continue their Development.

Talking about Trading Bratt by some here is an absolute Hot Take. #TotalBS

Agreed, no need to trade Bratt.

Doesn't change the fact that he's looked lost in some games. He's a third year player, you expect more than what you're getting surely?

So you were expecting another 30 point season, simply because of the coaching staff?

Yeah but this is a unique situation.

Had we had a Vet Coach like Lavi or Cooper with a Vet staff behind the bench and Bratt was showing this inconsistency, I would be concerned.

But having the remnants of a FAILED COACH with a FAILED SYSTEM still in place, I am taking whatever "inconsistency" that Bratt is having with a minute grain of salt.

Yes to blackwood. Not good night for him, the green screen goal wasnt fully on him, but deflating. He was Awful decision making with puck behind, net, I'm referring about blackwood. Guy kept dishing puck away from his own d men.

Glad you got a Zacha show.

How did Hynes treatment go, i couldn't make it tonight..... The crowd came realll loud on tv during d e v i l s chamt after that leadup goal i thimk 5th one..or 4th one...

Third year, but he's missed significant time. And I honestly think the staff has something to do with it. Look in the pinned AHL/ECHL, where I made a post from the Athletic today. Their turnaround coincided with them changing their system to no longer mirror ours. Not only did they get better defensively, they picked it up offensively too. As I said there, you can't score if you don't have the puck.

I get that. Hynes is shit.

I was simply trying to say Bratt has been fairly underwhelming this season. Still love him and think the breakout will come.

Ya. He's still a rookie, and everyone has an off night here and there. Glad to get a point despite it.

I'm glad I got the Zacha show of the month too :)

Got there late, didn't hear his name announced. Didn't notice any heckling.

Blackwood should be embarrassed for that **** game. And I want Greene gone yesterday. Embarrassment of a player and captain.
Don’t tell me Hynes doesn’t suck as a coach either. He lucked out our goalie was doing his best Schneider impression and that we have more brain dead players than the entire minors combined.
I just randomly clicked on page 20 of this thread. Couldn't be bothered to watch the game.

But man, you need to practice some breathing exercises.

Oh. And other thing that stuck out to me... Severson was just... listless on a couple of their goals.
