He wasn't dirty, he hit in a way that is was clearly legal in the day. Also, one of Lindros's skills was injuring players with hits.
Idk about Lindros trying to injure when he hit, he was more dangerous when you tried to hit him.Whenever someone tried to check him they were likely to run in to a cross check to the face. Stevens' hits were legal in the days when high, knock a m-f er out hits were ok.

I never thought this hit was that dirty and still don't.

Also, watch the most talented player to ever play do his thing after in that video

I was actually at the preseason game at the Garden where Kyprios suffered a brutal KO that ended his career.

Cam Janssen ruined Tomas Kaberle's career with a dirty hit. Before, Kaberle was a silky smooth skater with tremendous vision and beautiful passing. Watching him carry the puck out of the zone was a treat to watch. After the hit, he was timid and ineffective.

I was glad he managed to win with Boston, but he wasn't very good for them. His decline was sad to see.

Speaking of Boston and a decline due to a dirty play, it still hurts to think about what happened with Marc Savard. He was a special player.

Tonight. Pretty much sure Crawford is done. Just got back from a major concussion, and got another one. He’ll be on IR and then retire at the end of this season if he’s smart.

David Booth's career was derailed after mike richards went all Scott Stevens on him. A very cheap shot, it was.

Nick Ritchie sucker punching Rozsival is the first one that comes to mind for the Hawks in recent years. Unfortunately it’s a real possibility that Crawford’s ended tonight.

Yeah, hitting a player after they took two strides after they pass the puck was not legal back in the day.

Why the revisionist attitude? Scott Stevens epitomized the rock-solid, defensive defenceman that teams coveted until the rules of the sport changed.
