The strangest thing? Right at one of the commercial breaks, I hear a "Waaaaaa, Waaaaa Waaaaachusett!" ad with their recent update as to the condition of the slopes. Are people really wanting to ski now?

Gloves
Mask
Goggles
You can keep away from others easily

Sounds like the ideal activity to avoid the plague to me.

My thoughts on the lives in the air for 3 hours,,and surfaces 2-3days That may be true obviously, but how contagious is it if there are 154 cases in NYC were there are over 1.6 million people living, that cram into buses, subways, Penn Station, 3 weeks of Rangers and Knicks games..... I mean I think it's great that it's low (will get bigger of course) but shouldn't it have spiraled out of control?

We don't know because hardly anyone has been tested. You and I could be carriers and not be showing symptoms.

How are you healing by the way?
Pretty well, thanks. This last week I’ve been getting out more with less pain so it’s getting better. I had a checkup Tuesday and the doctor said it should heal fine as long as I don’t beat on it. This whole no hockey couldn’t have came at a worse time for me. I can put a little more weight on the leg and I’m hoping to walk in 2-3 weeks if I can remember how. Feels like I haven’t walked in months.

Apparently that pumping made this the best day for the S&P 500 since October 28, 2008.

It will come back. Certainely not overnight or over a week.'These are short term trades. In and out.

But for the long haul do not panic. Stay with it. Continue to , if you can, to take advantage of your 401K , IRA, etc...
It's a long game for the vast majority.

Thats my position anyway.
This is good advice. These companies didn't become 30% worse overnight. Buy if you can. This will eventually pass.

Yep. Thinking long term it's a good time to get in on stuff if you promise yourself not to touch it for minimum five years. Stuff like Microsoft and Apple can be picked up for a major discount now, not a bad time to start. Just don't invest any amount you can't afford to absorb a loss of.

The wallstreetbets lunatics are going all in on SPY puts, I'm not nearly reckless enough to gamble the premiums on them, but they stand to make bank if the market goes down.

Short answer. Nobody was minding the store.

CDC completely ignored it until they got caught with their pants down.

and then the tests they developed was 97% inaccurate. What a shocker when any organization becomes essentially defunded.

I hope you youngins really remember this time. Demand better for yourselves and your heirs to come.
I'll be gone.....

Somewhere out there
I think the WhO had kits available but the CDC wanted to develop their own and ran into manufacturing/testing issues. Went back to the drawing board and by then it was too late.

At the very least, I hope this prompts us to start making products here in America. Like my medicine and other products. We are capable of this. And we should do it.

Keep calm and positive, folks! Alert, not anxious. Lets be smart, proactive, and clean! We're going to get through this. Be well, and be kind. :)
