I'm kinda thinking the Ovie 5 on 6 indulgence needs to be phased out, and his spot at the end of games replaced by a soon to be acquired younger, faster Beagle-esque typeGet me that Ovie ENG please.

7 seconds remaining, Caps win face off and Carlson has puck and he opts to shoot the puck from his own blue line thus resulting in the icing call. They scored because they had 6 men and orpik dumped a guy into holtby. Not sure what Carlson did there
Pens and Isles lose in regulation.

yep. all tied up after 1.Time to root for the Avs to beat CBJ.
Are you sure? I thought it was ovie who took the bad icing trying for the EN goal.7 seconds remaining, Caps win face off and Carlson has puck and he opts to shoot the puck from his own blue line thus resulting in the icing call.

in before the "it's all Holtby posts"2 GAA in the 3 games since the break. Better than the football scores before the bye.
3-1 good guys
Ovi hatty and Beagle scores
Continue to think Jaskin deserves a regular spot in the lineup, the way he's playing. Seems to do all the little detail things well and consistently, and we don't have enough guys doing that. There's a lot more of our bottom 6+ guys deserving to be on the bubble than Jaskin.
Good to see the Canes creeping up on the Blue Jackets. Anything that makes Tortorella angry is A ok with me!
And I'd like to see Carolina make the playoffs

Jaskin-Dowd-Boyd is probably the most deserving fourth-line configuration IMO. They just need the 3LW spot fixed and that may need to be a serviceable PKer if that fourth line can stick. It probably won't and they'll continue to give opportunities to the PKers that do awfully little positive 5-on-5. Hopefully it's not until or after the trade deadline that they find a lineup, stick with it and start to play better and more fluid systematically.
Still don't like Jaskin. All you can say about him is he isn't a massive liability. He's an offensive black hole and only adequate defensively.
It's great that he battles and makes safe little plays, but guys like that are useless in the playoffs.
I'd rather aim higher.
